MY HOPE IS ’KNOW THAT THE NEW YEAR OF FREEDOM TO COLLECT THE GERMS’ SOWN IN THIS 2011

And here we are at Christmas and at the end of this 2011. It is known that these periods of financial statements and it is natural to reconsider in light of the things that have happened to our priorities.

First, I want to wish all of you who follow my blog a Merry Christmas to spend in harmony with your loved ones. Above all I hope that you too like me appreciate Christmas for its essence, beyond any religious belief, is the solidarity and generosity. At Christmas it’s nice to give gifts to friends and those we love but do not forget those less fortunate than ourselves: who does not own a house and who does not have to eat, those who are discriminated against and who does not see their fundamental rights recognized.

Doing the easy-gooders, this Christmas, more than ever, it is right to avoid waste and to shrink from the logic of unbridled consumerism and too often distorts the true Christmas spirit.

This, then 2011 was a year full of events: from natural disasters like the earthquake and resulting tsunami in Japan or the famine in the Horn of Africa, the man-made tragedies like the massacre of Utoya protests in Norway or tamed blood in Syria. But 2011 will be remembered for a new wave of demonstrations for freedom as the Spring or the movement of Arab indignados from Spain that have plagued the world with their desire for a better world, which is also my aspiration.

For next year I hope that the seeds of freedom to plant launched in the last 12 months to germinate and that 2012 will be a year full of fruit to harvest.
