HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOLLYWOOD
Happy Birthday Hollywood!
Today I want to celebrate with you the hundred candles off, from the world’s most famous hills, those in Hollywood .
The “factory” that has constantly “ produced stars”celebrates one hundred years (brought fine, don’t you think?) and continues to be the navel of worlds’ cinema.
It ‘s precisely here that the greatest masterpieces of the big screen such as “Old California” by legendary D.W. Griffith were filmed.
And above all it ‘s exactly from here that the greatest movie stars have ‘soared’.
From Charlie Chaplin to Rudolph Valentino, to Adolph Zukor, founder of Paramount Pictures Corporation, and William Fox, or even Samuel Goldwyn, of the homonymous, renowned film production company
Not to mention then all the stars that make us dream and excite at cinema and that, only in Hollywood, feel at home.
Hollywood in recent decades has gone from being a mere district of the city of Los Angeles to a destination for tourists and especially for aspiring actors that, in “City of VIPs”, have always wanted to realize their dreams.
But the district of L.A. that I know I is primarily a landmark in the collective imagination, with its luxurious villas populated with stars, studios and an unreal atmosphere, just as in a movie, that clashes with the more degraded side from the suburban periphery and the problems and inconveniences that the development of any big city entails.
Just at the beginning of September came out on the big screen ” The Expendables”, a promising film that sees in action a Hollywood star par excellence, Sylvester Stallone, who is truly at home in Hollywood.
He, like many others, was often away from the hills of ” the forest of Holly ” (this is the literal meaning of the famous word) to shoot scenes in countries where costs were more sustainable
Despite this for Sylvester, as for other stars of the “star system” that I know, Hollywood has no lost its charm, indeed it has fuelled their attention to this podium on which everyone would like to go up.
And how can you blame them?
Happy birthday Hollywood !
